Chanonry Point in Fortrose, with its working lighthouse, is known throughout the world for being the best land-based site from which to see the famous Moray Firth Dolphins.

During the summer, you'll see everyone from BBC television crews to nature photographers to visitors from all corners of Europe and North America, gathered to watch these magnificent beasts leap out of the water as if in performance. Unspoiled by shops and cafes, the long, sandy beaches make the perfect spot for a picnic with the family.
