Fortrose & The Black Isle
The Black Isle is one of the most beautiful areas in the Highlands. It is renowned for its microclimate, its pristine beaches, its forests and its legends.
We are just a short walk down the beach to Chanonry Point, world-famous for bottlenose dolphins. It is also where the mythical Brahan Seer met his untimely death in a flaming barrel of tar (don't worry, that is not what we mean when we say a warm welcome awaits).
We are adjacent to the ruins of Fortrose Cathedral and its 14th Century Chapter House; nearby are Fortrose Harbour, the seaside village of Rosemarkie, and our world-famous links golf course. The area is perfect for walks, cycling, golfing and any other outdoor pursuits you can imagine.
Then, of course, there are the area's dozens of Highland distilleries. You might, however, prefer to discover those from the comfort of our Whisky Bar!
